The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (May 8-14) is softball pitcher Jenn Spann. The freshman lefthander from Rapid City, Michigan, tossed a complete-game 6-2 victory over Judson in a losers' bracket contest at the 2011 NCCAA National Championship on Friday, May 13 in Troutville, Virginia. Spann, who struck out three to improve her season record to 11-4, was the only Lady Jacket named to the All-Tournament Team.
