Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The male Cedarville SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Feb. 10-16) is men's track & field multi-event performer James Blackwell. The sophomore from Clare, Michigan posted an impressive school-record effort in winning the heptathlon at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship on Fri.-Sat., Feb. 15-16, 2013. Blackwell totaled 5,038 points including winning both the long jump (6.81m) and the pole vault (4.76m). His overall performance is the seventh-best in NCAA Division II this season. The Yellow Jackets were fifth in the 21-team event held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
