The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Nov. 29-Dec. 5) is basketball player Chris Beals. The 6-0 senior guard from Columbus, Ohio hit a 15-foot jumper with 5.2 seconds left give the NAIA #10 Yellow Jackets a 64-62 win at Malone on Saturday, Dec. 5. Beals finished with 13 points in the American Mideast Conference win over the Pioneers. He fired in a career-high 26 points for CU on Tuesday, Dec. 1 in an 88-76 AMC loss at NAIA #3 Walsh.
