CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tournament MVP Aubrey Siemon scored 15 points as the Lady Jackets completed the Cedarville Classic with a convincing 75-40 win over Malone. A 42-9 explosion midway through the contest gave the hosts command of the outcome.
The Pioneers hung around for the first 16 minutes of the game, but a 14-2 spurt to finish the half gave CU a 34-18 halftime lead. A 28-7 run to open the second half provided the Lady Jackets their largest lead at 62-25 with 9:15 left.
Lydia Miller and Caitlyn Mauch chipped in 10 points each for Cedarville, 2-0 overall. The Jackets outrebounded Malone, 39-30, and committed just nine turnovers compared to 24 for the visitors. [STATS]
Alison Lemon joined Siemon on the six-player all-tournament team. The group also included Ashley Speicher and Amy Kittle of Malone, Indiana Tech's Hannah Thieke, and Point Park's Ashley Henderson.
