LAKE WALES, Fla. - NAIA Division I Brewton-Parker brought the Lady Jackets' five-game winning streak to an end with a 67-57 decision at the Warner University Classic.
NAIA Division II No. 18 Cedarville, 8-3 overall, jumped out to a 19-9 advantage in the game's first eight minutes .However, a 17-2 rally by the Barons sparked them to a 32-30 lead by halftime.
A three-point play by Alison Lemon with 14:35 left gave CU it's last lead at 41-40. Brewton-Parker, 7-7, responded with a decisive 21-6 run and the Lady Jackets never got any closer than six points the rest of the way.
Lemon totaled 17 points, six steals, and five assists to pace Cedarville. Jenna Smith added 11 points and eight rebounds. [STATS]
