LIMA, Ohio - AMC Player of the Week Alison Lemon scored 19 points and NAIA Division II No. 25 Cedarville continued to zero in from three-point range during an impressive 81-63 win at Northwestern Ohio.
Only three days removed from drilling a school-record 16 three-pointers at Malone, the Lady Jackets connected on 14 more to bury the Racers. A 7-for-11 display in the first half led to a 43-34 edge by the intermission. The assault resumed in the final period and back-to-back treys by Kara Cayton and Lemon polished off a 19-1 explosion that resulted in a 24-point bulge.
Lemon was 5-for-8 from long range and added six assists. Aubrey Siemon racked up 14 points and 14 rebounds while Cayton tallied 11 points. She and Bayley Nosal hit three three-pointers each. Lydia Miller scored nine points and handed out eight assists.
Cedarville, 13-5 overall and 4-2 AMC, has won three straight. The Lady Jackets owned the rebounding battle by a 54-31 margin. UNOH dips to 9-10 and 3-3 AMC. [STATS]
