CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Lydia Miller paced four players in double figures with 17 points and the NAIA Division II No. 25 Lady Jackets extended their winning streak to four straight with an 86-71 decision over No. 20 Daemen in American Mideast Conference action.
Cedarville, 14-5 overall and 5-2 AMC, resumed its torrid three-point shooting display by drilling eight of their first nine attempts from beyond the arc. The Jackets didn't get their first two-point field goal until 5:20 left in the first half en route to a 36-28 margin at the break.
The hosts shot 56 percent from the field during the final 20 minutes as the Wildcats, also 14-5 and 5-2 AMC, could get no closer than eight points. Cedarville pushed the lead to as much as 69-49 at the 6:30 mark.
Miller added four assists and a steal to her night. Jenna Smith tallied 15 points, Kara Cayton came off the bench with 13, and Alison Lemon provided 11 points, seven assists, and three steals. CU finished 10-for-20 from three-point land and outscored the Wildcats 24-9 at the charity stripe. [STATS]
