CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NAIA Division II No. 2 Shawnee State remained unbeaten after outlasting the No. 18 Lady Jackets, 88-84, in an American Mideast Conference contest.
The Bears, 22-0 overall and 8-0 AMC, never trailed in the second half, but clung to a precarious 78-75 lead with 2:10 left. They answered with seven of the next eight points to seal the outcome.
Cedarville, 14-7 and 5-3 AMC, returned to its hot three-point shooting. The Jackets drilled 14-of-31 from beyond the arc including a torrid 10-for-15 showing in the second half.
Alison Lemon and Rachel Hurley flipped in 16 points each. Aubrey Siemon totaled 15 points and 13 rebounds while Lydia Miller dished out five assists. [STATS]
