CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville got Homecoming Weekend started off with a bang by ending a six-match losing skid with a five-set American Mideast Conference victory over Point Park.
The Lady Jackets cooled off the hottest team in the AMC. Point Park entered the Callan Athletic Center with a 15-match winning streak dating back to Aug. 29. CU outlasted the Pioneers 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11.
Kylee Husak pounded 17 kills to lead three players in double figures and added four blocks to her play at the net. Emily Shade and Lauren Gill buried 16 kills each as the Lady Jackets produced a .340 attack percentage as a team.
Erica Bartholomew had 54 assists for Cedarville, 7-17 overall and 1-2 AMC. Heather Kirkpatrick totaled 19 digs and Katherine MacKenzie added 15. Point Park falls to 15-4 and 2-1 AMC. [STATS]
