MARION, Ind. - Host and #1 seed Indiana Wesleyan made a first-half goal stand up for a 1-0 victory over Cedarville in the NCCAA Midwest Region championship match.
The battle between the evenly-matched top two seeds had the makings of 1-0 result written all over it. The Wildcats broke through with the lone goal in the 30th minute.
Indiana Wesleyan, 9-10-1, had a slight edge in shots overall, 13-11, and in shots on goal, 8-7. Kevin Bender was called upon to make seven saves.
The Yellow Jackets finish the season at 11-6-3. It's CU first winning campaign since going 15-4-1 in 2005. [STATS]
