D2CCA ALL-REGION TEAM
CEDARVILLE, Ohio –
Michael Catanzarite is the 2025 D2CCA Men's Soccer Midwest Region Player of the Year.
He earned the Conference Commissioner's Association award in a vote by the region sports information directors.
The senior forward from Syracuse, N.Y. guided Cedarville to the first unbeaten regular season in the 63-year history of the program at 11-0-7 overall and 9-0-5 G-MAC.
Catanzarite finished with 10 goals and one assist to total 21 points for the Yellow Jackets, 12-2-7, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Championship.
He tops the 13-player all-region first team and is one of four forwards on the unit. He was a second team choice in 2023 before missing all of 2024 with an injury.
Amari Everage and
Eben Dewhurst were also selected to the first team.
Everage, a senior from Odessa, Texas, was named the G-MAC Defender of the Year. He tallied two goals and a team-leading four assists for eight points.
Dewhurst, a junior from Springfield, Ohio, was tabbed G-MAC Goalkeeper of the Year. He tied the school record with ten shutouts to go along with a 0.53 goals against average.
