Cedarville takes down ODU

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The NAIA Division II #15 Yellow Jackets withstood some tense final minutes from visiting Ohio Dominican to beat the Panthers, 69-60, in a non-conference game played in the Callan Athletic Center.

Cedarville never fell behind, but the hosts had to make some plays down the stretch to win for the fourth consecutive time.

The Panthers forced the only tie of the second half at 46-46 with 8:45 remaining. After the Jackets pushed the lead back to eight, ODU cut it to two again before Brandon Sok drilled a three-pointer at the 2:50 mark to make it 61-56.

Ricardo Alliman's lay-in extended the margin to six with just 45 seconds left. Sok and Matt Harner made two free throws each in the final 30 seconds to clinch it.

Alliman finished with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots. Harner tallied 14 points while Austin Foote came off the bench with a couple of treys and 12 points. Sok also had a pair of three-pointers and 10 markers.
