CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NAIA Division II No. 18 Cedarville scored the first 21 points of the game and placed six players in double figures to bury Carlow, 94-39, in an American Mideast Conference contest played in the Callan Athletic Center.
The Lady Jackets, 17-7 overall and 8-3 AMC, needed less than seven minutes to pile up the 21-0 lead. After the Celtics scored at the 11:15 mark, CU ran off the next nine points for a 30-2 difference with 7:55 left. Carlow, 0-22 and 0-11 AMC, had to score four of the last six points to account for a 51-10 halftime score.
Cedarville made 11-of-20 shots from behind the three-point arc for 55 percent and dished out 25 assists as a team. The Jackets outrebounded the visitors, 61-24.
Rachel Hurley pumped in 17 points to lead the offense. Jenna Smith and Caitlyn Mauch tallied 12 points each, Alison Lemon had 11, and Aubrey Siemon totaled 10 points and 11 rebounds. Alisha Lee came off the bench with 10 boards. [STATS]
