HOUGHTON, N.Y. - Alison Lemon scored 22 points and NAIA Division II No. 20 Cedarville pulled away in the final four minutes for a 62-55 win at Houghton in an American Mideast Conference game.

It was the sixth straight victory for the Lady Jackets, 20-7 overall and 11-3 AMC, but it took them awhile to get the job done against the upset-minded Highlanders.

Houghton, 9-16 and 3-11 AMC, had a 24-22 edge at halftime and pushed the difference to as much as six points in the second half. Bayley Nosal broke the eighth and final tie of the contest with two free throws for a 50-48 lead with 3:20 left and Lemon followed with a three-pointer. Six free throws in the final 45 seconds sealed the outcome.

Lemon added six rebounds, five assists, and five steals to her effort. Lydia Miller tallied 13 points while Aubrey Siemon had 10 points with a game-high nine rebounds. It's the seventh 20-win season in eight campaigns for head coach Kirk Martin. [STATS]
