Cedarville rips Raiders; heading to NAIA Nationals

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The NAIA Division II No. 20 Lady Jackets scored the first 12 points of the game and rolled to their seventh consecutive victory with an 80-54 decision over Roberts Wesleyan in the regular season finale. Coupled with Walsh's upset loss at Northwestern Ohio, Cedarville earned the American Mideast Conference's second automatic bid to the NAIA Division II National Tournament.

Lydia Miller, Rachel Hurley, and Alison Lemon hit consecutive three-pointers to finish off the 12-0 start to the contest. It was a 22-4 bulge with 12:30 left and as much as a 26-point margin late in the frame before CU took a 44-20 advantage into the intermission.

The Lady Jackets, 21-7 overall and 12-3 AMC, built the difference to as large as 29 points in the second half. They finished shooting 46 percent from the field overall including an 11-for-22 showing outside the three-point line.

Hurley scored 17 points with six assists and three steals to pace the offense while Jenna Smith added 12 points. Lemon, Aubrey Siemon, Lydia Miller, Kara Cayton, Bayley Nosal, and Caitlyn Mauch all had eight points each. Siemon pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds. [STATS]
