WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Alison Lemon led four players in double figures with 18 points and the NAIA Division II No. 20 Lady Jackets exploded for 57 points in the second half to blast Greene County rival Wilberforce, 91-56, in an American Mideast Conference game.
Cedarville, 15-7 overall and 6-3 AMC, scraped together a 34-23 halftime lead and scored seven of the first nine points of the second period. After the Bulldogs got to within nine, the Jackets ran off 12 consecutive points with eight of those coming from Lemon. That spurt blew the game open.
Cedarville outscored the hosts 30-13 during an 11-minute span midway through the frame. A 17-5 run over the last five minutes accounted for the final with the 35-point spread being the largest of the game. The Jackets hit 7-of-12 three-pointers in the second half and 10-of-23 overall.
Aubrey Siemon finished with 14 points while Rachel Hurley and Bayley Nosal scored 12 each. Caitlyn Mauch pulled down a game-high nine rebounds as CU controlled the boards, 55-47. Wilberforce falls to 6-15 and 1-6 AMC. [STATS]
