CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Lady Jackets struck for three goals in the first half and abruptly halted a three-match losing streak with a convincing 4-0 non-conference victory at Campbellsville.
The host Tigers, 3-2 overall, entered the match having won three straight. Cedarville got the only goal it needed in the 22nd minute when Jill Carroll headed home a corner kick from Jaimie Watkins.
Kelsey Watkins found the net in the 31st minute with Jaimie Watkins assisting again. Rachel Brownfield finished off a chip over the keeper four minutes later unassisted for a 3-0 halftime bulge.
Junior captain Lindsay Raybuck completed the scoring in the 86th minute on a breakaway. The goal came unassisted.
The Lady Jackets outshot the Tigers 21-9 overall and 11-5 in shots on goal. Rookie keeper Alysia Bennett made five saves in registering her second shutout. [STATS]
