Jackets jump on Point Park early; win 84-67

PITTSBURGH, Ohio - Austin Foote scored a career-high 24 points and NAIA Division II #22 Cedarville buried 16 three-pointers to beat Point Park, 84-67, for its fifth victory in a row in American Mideast Conference action.

Foote came off the bench firing and drilled six treys en route to 20 points in the first half alone. Daniel Kohavi banked in a three-pointer just before the buzzer, the team's 11th bomb of the opening period, for a 51-28 lead at the intermission.

The Yellow Jackets, 15-7 overall and 7-2 AMC, kept the accelerator down to begin the second half. They quickly got the difference inflated to 30 points on two occasions the last of which was 60-30 with 15:05 left.

The Pioneers were able to cut the difference in half at 75-60 at the 4:10 mark, but Matt Harner and Brandon Sok ended any ideas of a miracle comeback by hitting back-to-back three-pointers.

Foote finished 6-for-10 outside the arc in his game-high performance while Sok hit four triples for 12 points. Ricardo Alliman notched his 11th double-double of the season with 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Harner chipped in 11 points. Point Park dips to 7-12 and 3-7 AMC. [STATS]
