CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets recovered to win the last three sets of their American Mideast Conference opener to defeat Ursuline in the Callan Athletic Center.
Cedarville won the match 23-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-22 to improve to 8-7 overall and 1-0 AMC.
The visiting Arrows, 11-10 and 0-2 AMC, scored the first six points of the match and led by as many as seven. CU rallied to tie at 19-19, but Ursuline outscored the hosts 6-4 the rest of the way.
There were 12 ties in a tight second set before the Lady Jackets pulled it out. Cedarville was never threatened in the third set and had to rally from a 21-19 deficit to win the fourth.
Stephanie Rogers hammered 21 kills to again lead the attack. Kylee Husak added 14 kills and three blocks while Lauren Gill buried 11 kills.
Erica Bartholomew piled up 53 assists. Heather Kirkpatrick came through with 17 digs.
