CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Rachel Brownfield scored both Lady Jacket goals in a 2-0 decision over Campbellsville in the annual Homecoming match.
It was the senior forward's first two goals of the season. The game winner came off a corner in the 18th minute when the ball came to Brownfield's foot following a scramble in the box and she ripped it through a crowd off of the left post and in.
Cedarville upped the difference to two goals before the second period was two minutes old. Brownfield ran on to a long ball delivered by
Deanne Bradshaw and floated a shot over the keeper's head to finish off the breakaway.
The Lady Jackets outshot Campbellsville 11-4 overall and 7-1 in shots on goal. The contest was played in misty, 45 degree temperatures with 20-25 mph winds.
Christine Faulds was credited with one save for Cedarville, 4-4-1 overall. The visiting Tigers drop to 6-4.
