AURORA, Ill. - Rockhurst dropped the first set to the Lady Jackets and then bounced back to win the next three in the first match of the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament at the Great Lakes Center.
The Hawks defeated Cedarville by scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-22.
The Lady Jackets recovered from a 14-9 hole to win the first set. They broke an 18-18 deadlock with five straight points to take control.
Hannah Wagner finished with 13 kills and four blocks for Cedarville, 14-11 overall.
Stephanie Rogers recorded nine kills and six blocks while
Amanda Bell had eight kills.
Maddie Anderson handed out 24 assists with two service aces.
Erica Bartholomew added 16 assists and
Heather Kirkpatrick came up with 12 digs.
Rockhurst improved to 8-11. The tournament field features schools from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference and the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
