AURORA, Ill. - The Lady Jackets swept Kentucky Wesleyan before losing in four sets to Saint Joseph's (Ind.) to wrap up their appearance at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament at the Great Lakes Center.
A balanced attack paced Cedarville in the win over Kentucky Wesleyan 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.
Stephanie Rogers and
Hannah Wagner each totaled nine kills and four blocks.
Amanda Bell hammered eight kills,
Lauren Williams had seven kills with seven digs, and
Kelsey Christiansen added six kills.
Maddie Anderson contributed team-highs of 22 assists, nine digs, and two service aces.
Erica Bartholomew chipped in 10 assists.
The Jackets lost to Saint Joseph's for the second time this fall in their third and final match of the tournament. The Pumas got the victory 22-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.
Rogers was the only CU player to reach twin figures in kills with 12. Bell had eight kills, three blocks, and 12 digs while Wagner tallied seven kills with three blocks.
Anderson posted 23 assists and five service aces. Bartholomew added 14 assists and
Heather Kirkpatrick came up with 21 digs for the Lady Jackets, 15-12 overall.
The tournament field featured schools from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference and the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
