ATHENS, W.Va. - Cedarville struck for three goals midway through the first half and rode the momentum for a 3-1 result at Concord.
Scores by Todd McKinley, Scott Roseberg, and Ryan Thurman in a span of 18 minutes gave the Jackets the edge and propelled them to their fifth straight victory.
McKinley got things started in the 18th minute with his second tally of the campaign unassisted. Roseberg answered in the 29th with his fourth goal on a pass from Eric Newman to make it 2-0. Thurman tacked on his third goal of the year unassisted in the 36th minute to complete CU's scoring.
Concord averted a shutout early in the second period by converting a penalty kick after the Jackets were whistled for a handball in the box.
Curtis Ranck made three saves in goal. Cedarville, 10-5, outshot the hosts 18-8 overall and 10-4 on goal.
Concord dropped to 2-14.
