Lamos, Cedarville runner-up in OIC

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Hannah Lamos was the individual runner-up and the Lady Jackets finished second as a team in the Ohio Independent Championship hosted by Walsh University.

Lamos posted a time of 19:37 for the 5,000 meters. Rachel Wong was 3rd in 19:38 while Meghan Terrell was 5th in 19:49.

Malone won the five-team meet with 26 points and Cedarville totaled 34. The rest of the field included Walsh, 84; Ursuline, 113; and Urbana, 150.

Abby Wong finished 16th in 20:16. Rounding out CU's top seven were Carolyn Case (16th; 20:35), Jennifer Hollander (18th; 20:50), and Neola Putnam (19th; 21:09).

The Ohio Independent Championship includes schools who are either already full NCAA Division II members (Urbana) or are currently in the membership process.
