LAREDO, Texas - Brian Grant scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Yellow Jackets halted a three-game skid with a 74-66 victory over St. Edward's to open the Texas A&M International New Year's Classic.

Austin Foote broke the game's ninth and final tie with a three-pointer at the 4:55 mark to give Cedarville the lead for good, 64-61. The junior guard followed with a three-point play for a 67-62 difference and then the Jackets iced it with seven free throws in the final 2:40.

Grant was one of four players to score in double figures for Cedarville, 7-5 overall. Foote netted 16 points while Zimmy Nwogbo hit 10-of-12 free throws en route to 14 points. Zach Brown tossed in 12 points and handed out a game-high seven assists.

It was another good shooting night for the Yellow Jackets, who made 54 percent of their shots in the final 20 minutes and 52 percent for the game. They also hit 14-of-19 free throws with all of them coming in the second half.

St. Edward's, 7-4, was at the opposite end of the spectrum by shooting just 31 percent from the field. The Hilltoppers were 11-of-40 from beyond the arc and converted only 11-of-23 free throws.
