CEDARVILLE, Ohio - A six-match homestand got off to a sour start for the Lady Jackets as visiting Taylor left town with a 4-1 result.
The Trojans got on the board early with a tally in the 7th minute. Then the visitors put the game away with a quick three-goal barrage midway through the second half.
TU scored in the 60th, 61st, and 66th minutes to build a 4-0 cushion. Cedarville avoided a shutout when
Kelsey Watkins netted her first goal of the season in the 74th minute with an assist from
Morgan Ziegler.
Taylor, 4-2 overall, outshot the hosts 12-9 overall and 8-3 on goal. The Jackets drop to 1-3-1.
Liz Cox was credited with four saves in goal in her first-ever appearance between the pipes. The freshman forward was pressed into service because of injuries to CU's two keepers.
