ELKINS, W.Va. - Cedarville got off to a good start at the Davis & Elkins Tournament with a pair of impressive victories.
The Lady Jackets swept West Virginia Tech 25-14, 25-11, 25-20. They finished the day with a four-set win versus the host Senators 22-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-15.
In the opener,
Amanda Bell pounded 11 kills and
Stephanie Rogers turned aside six blocks to lead the play at the net.
Maddie Anderson posted 12 assists,
Erica Bartholomew had 10, and
Kara Yutzy totaled 10 digs.
Rogers piled up 14 kills and seven blocks to pace the decision over Davis & Elkins.
Hannah Wagner hammered 13 kills and Bell chipped in 11.
Anderson recorded 26 assists with 20 more from Bartholomew.
Heather Kirkpatrick led the back line with 21 digs.
Cedarville is 6-6 overall.
