CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Hannah Lamos won the individual title and the Lady Jackets continued their home meet dominance by repeating as champions of the 21st Annual Friendship Invitational.
Lamos covered the 5,000 meter layout in 18:45 in perfect running conditions of dry, sunny, 55 degree weather at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. It's the ninth time that a CU runner has won the race but the first since Sarah Mark took the crown in 2003.
Cedarville finished with 57 points to claim the title for the 12th time in the meet's history. Wilmington had 77 points and Indiana Wesleyan followed with 90.
Grace Campbell was 10th in 19:22 and
Neola Putnam was right behind in 19:24.
Rachel Wong (17th; 19:42) and younger sister
Abby Wong (18th; 19:44) completed CU's scoring.
Rounding out the Lady Jackets' top seven were
Jennifer Hollander (28th; 20:11) and
Jessica Smith (41st; 20:32).
