MARION, Ohio - NAIA No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan scored three times in the first half and rolled to a 5-0 victory in Cedarville's season opener.
The Wildcats got on the board with a penalty kick in the 20th minute. They took a comfortable 3-0 advantage into the intermission following tallies in the 28th and 44th minutes.
IWU, 2-2 overall, scored a little more than two minutes into the second half. It was 4-0 with 28 minutes left when the contest was delayed for more than an hour by lightning.
Once play resumed, the hosts completed the scoring in the 79th minute.
