Brian Grant and
Zimmy Nwogbo combined for 36 points and 17 rebounds to help the Yellow Jackets remain unbeaten at home with an 80-64 decision against Miami-Middletown.
Grant scored 19 points and grabbed six boards in just 17 minutes because of foul trouble. Nwogbo came through with his second straight double-double finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Cedarville, 10-6 overall, knew it would have its hands full against the ThunderHawks. MUM came to town with a 16-2 record featuring four road victories against NAIA opponents. Its only setbacks were to NAIA Division I powers Georgetown and Pikeville.
The Yellow Jackets didn't wait around as they broke out to a 27-11 lead before settling for a 43-32 score by halftime. Miami-Middletown scored the first basket of the second period, but after that, CU retained a double-digit lead until the final buzzer.
Marcus Reineke came off the bench with 10 points.
Daniel Hickman chipped in eight and three other players added seven points apiece.
Zach Brown dished out a game-high eight assists. Nwogbo knocked down 11-of-15 free throws and also produced four assists.
