CEDARVILLE, Ohio - All five starters scored in double figures to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 75-67 victory over Rio Grande in the Callan Athletic Center.

Cedarville, 11-7 overall, remained unbeaten through six home games this year, but the hosts had some work to do against Rio. A quick start to the second half made all the difference.

The RedStorm scored just before the buzzer for a 36-35 lead at the intermission. The two teams traded baskets to begin the second period before the Yellow Jackets responded with 14 unanswered points for a 51-38 difference at the 13:45 mark.

Rio got as close as 63-58 with 5:55 left. However, Zach Brown hit 5-of-6 free throws coming down the stretch and Zimmy Nwogbo converted a three-point play with 23 seconds left that all but iced the outcome.

Brian Grant registered team-highs of 20 points and eight rebounds in just 18 minutes of action because of foul trouble. Brown had 15 points while backcourt mate Austin Foote added 12. Nwogbo finished with 11 markers and Bryan Redic had 10.

Rio Grande dips to 10-11 on the season.
