CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Zach Brown totaled 20 points and a career-high 10 rebounds while the Yellow Jacket defense locked up Walsh for a 71-55 decision before a Li'l Sibs Weekend crowd of 2,493.
The outcome accomplished two things for Cedarville. It reversed the Jackets' only loss in the last 10 games, 73-72 at Walsh three weeks earlier, and it kept them unbeaten in 10 games played in the Callan Athletic Center this season.
Trailing 38-36 early in the second half, CU responded with a 16-3 spurt over the next seven minutes to take control.
Austin Foote tied it with a layup and Brown tallied the team's next 10 points.
Zimmy Nwogbo's dunk pushed the difference to 64-47 at the 3:48 mark. The 17-point margin was the largest of the game.
Brown went 4-for-6 from behind the arc and converted all four of his free throws for the Yellow Jackets, 16-7 overall and winners of six straight.
Brian Grant finished with 14 points while Nwogbo and Foote added 11 points each.
Walsh, 20-5, came in averaging 90 points per game. However, the Cavs made just 6-of-23 shots for 26 percent in the second half and they missed all 10 of their three-pointers. CU, on the other hand, shot 61 percent from the field to end the game at 54 percent.
