Yellow Jackets streak to fourth straight victory

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - Zimmy Nwogbo buried back-to-back dunks to open the game and Cedarville rode the momentum to a 70-57 result at Notre Dame College to extend its winning string to four in a row.

The Yellow Jackets, 14-7 overall, never trailed. Nwogbo sparked CU to a 13-2 lead in the first seven minutes and the visitors remained in charge.

It was a 38-24 spread at halftime which quickly ballooned to 18 early in the second period. The Jackets kept the difference at double digits until the final buzzer in remaining perfect in nine meetings against the Falcons.

Nwogbo made 5-of-7 shots from the field and converted 7-of-8 free throws for a team-high 17 points. He added eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

Austin Foote knocked down four three-pointers and tallied 14 points. He and Zach Brown dished out three assists apiece. Marcus Reineke chipped in three long-range baskets for nine points.

Cedarville made 15-of-19 free throws and had a 38-32 rebounding edge. Notre Dame slips to 6-14.
