Steve Ellis converted a penalty kick in the 93rd minute to keep the Yellow Jackets undefeated with a 2-1 result at Alderson-Broaddus.
Ryan Thurman was taken down in the box early in the first overtime allowing Ellis to do what he does best. The senior captain calmly stepped to the spot and successfully scored his second PK of the young season.
The two future Great Midwest Athletic Conference foes played scoreless soccer deep into the second half.

The Battlers needed just five minutes to equalize, ironically, on a penalty kick.
Cedarville, 4-0 overall, dominated the match statistically. The Yellow Jackets didn't allow a shot in the first half and registered the first 10 shots of the contest.
CU outshot the hosts 21-3 overall and 13-2 in shots on goal. The Jackets' corner kick advantage was also 13-2.
This was the first men's soccer meeting between the two schools. AB falls to 1-2.
