Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville used a loud "White Out Night" crowd to its advantage to pull out a five-set victory over Indianapolis in the Callan Athletic Center.
The Lady Jackets came out on top 25-22, 21-25, 15-25, 25-17, 15-7 before a gathering of 865 fans.
"That's our first win over a national level team since moving to the NCAA," Head Coach
Doug Walters proclaimed. "The atmosphere tonight was amazing and really helped lift our team to a win!"
Cedarville needed that extra push after getting buried by the Greyhounds in the third set to fall behind, 2-1. The Jackets attacked at a .338 clip in the final two sets to win going away.
Hannah Wagner paced a balanced group at the net with 13 kills for the Jackets, 11-12 overall.
Amanda Bell,
Stephanie Rogers, and
Abby Shelton pounded 12 kills apiece.
Bell added 16 digs to her performance while
Angela Becker led the squad with 27. As far as assists,
Maddie Anderson totaled 29 and
Kristin Cardwell had 25.
Indianapolis drops to 11-7.
CU hosts Wittenberg in a non-conference match on Friday at 7:00 p.m. before returning to G-MAC action on Saturday at Central State at 1:00.
