Lady Jackets roll on; streak hits six

Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio - Amanda Bell hammered 18 kills and got plenty of help from Hannah Wagner and Abby Shelton as Cedarville disposed of Ohio Dominican in four sets in non-conference action.

The Lady Jackets improved to 9-11 overall with their sixth consecutive victory. It was also their first road win of the year.

Cedarville's winning numbers were 23-25, 28-26, 25-15, 25-20.

The key set was unquestionably the second one. After losing the first set, CU trailed 23-21 and faced one set point before rallying.

Obviously, Head Coach Doug Walters was thrilled with the outcome. "Tonight was a great win for us! We started off a little slow and a little tentative from the service line which cost us some in the first and second sets.

"We made some adjustments though to our serve and to our defense during the intermission which helped us out in sets three and four.  We had great production from both of our outside hitters as well as Hannah which really helped. "

Wagner buried 16 kills and Shelton contributed 14. Stephanie Rogers had eight kills and Tori Thompson turned aside four blocks.

Maddie Anderson distributed 26 assists. Kristin Cardwell had 25 to go along with 11 digs. Angela Becker came up with 20 digs.

The Jackets put their 4-0 league record on the line this weekend on the road. They'll be at Trevecca Nazarene on Friday at 8:00 EST and at Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday at 1:00 EST.
