Box Score HILLSDALE, Mich. - Hillsdale recovered from playing a murderous season-opening tournament to defeat the Lady Jackets in four sets.

The Chargers were winners by scores of 25-14, 26-24, 21-25, 25-21.

Hillsdale, 1-4 overall, went winless in Minnesota where they faced a trio of Top 25 teams. The hosts turned it around in their home opener.

The key set was the second in which Hillsdale dug itself out of a 23-20 hole to win it. Cedarville bounced back to take the third set, but the Chargers claimed the lead for good in the fourth, 16-15.

Abby Shelton crushed 14 kills with four blocks to lead the Jackets. Amanda Bell hammered 11 kills to go along with 15 digs in her first match of the season while Stephanie Rogers added nine kills and seven blocks.

Maddie Anderson tallied 28 assists and Kristin Cardwell handed out 17. Angela Becker totaled 27 digs.

Cedarville, 2-3, will play four matches this weekend at the Ashland Invitational.
