Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Lady Jackets brought a seven-match slide to a halt by winning their opening match at the Saint Leo Classic.

Cedarville defeated Columbus State (Ga.) in four sets before being swept by Eckerd.

In the opener, CU disposed of Columbus State 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-10.

Hannah Wagner paced the balanced play at the net with 11 kills and two blocks. Amanda Bell totaled nine kills and 12 digs; Abby Shelton had eight kills, three blocks, and 15 digs; and Stephanie Rogers chipped in seven kills.

Maddie Anderson was credited with 20 assists and Angela Becker finished with 20 digs.

Eckerd brushed aside the Lady Jackets 25-20, 25-8, 25-18 in the second contest.

Shelton had seven kills for Cedarville, 3-9 overall. Kristin Caldwell handed out eight assists and Bell came up with nine digs.

The Jackets close out the tournament on Saturday against Florida Southern at 9:00 a.m. and Saint Leo and 8:00 p.m.
