Win/lose situation for #CUJackets at FSU

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lady Jackets left the Ferris State Invitational with a 2-2 record to open the campaign following another split.

CU needed four sets to defeat Saginaw Valley State and then was swept by the host Bulldogs in the final match.

Lori Inkrott pounded 15 kills in the opening contest against Saginaw. The Lady Jackets' winning numbers were 25-15, 25-22, 20-25, 25-22.

Hannah Wagner added 14 kills and Abby Shelton drilled 11. The threesome each tallied two blocks. All-tournament team selection Tori Thompson had a team-high three blocks.

Maddie Anderson set up 27 assists. Kristin Carwell had 16 while Angela Becker came up with 15 digs.

Ferris State overpowered Cedarville 25-17, 25-14, 25-16. Shelton led the attack with nine kills. Cardwell had 14 assists and Becker had 18 digs.

The Lady Jackets head right back to Michigan on Tuesday to play Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m.
