Quotable: Head Coach
Pat Estepp"I thought we started well, but when they made the adjustment to the 1-3-1 zone we really struggled against it at the end of the first half. It is difficult to win when you let a team make a run at the end of the half.
"We went 1-for-11 with five turnovers and they were 7-for-11 to finish the half. That puts a ton of pressure on our transition defense.
"We have to stop fouling in order to get more minutes off our bench. Kwenton (Scott) gave us some great minutes, but we need 25 or more out of him.
"We also have to rebound better and make free throws. If we don't turn the ball over and make some free throws in the first half then it might be a different game.
"Lewis is very well-coached and might have the most talented player in the GLVC in Struss. We showed our youth at times, but I was proud of our effort. We just have to stay focused in the process and keep getting better."
Numbers Game:- Scott scored 17 points in 15 minutes of playing time before fouling out.
- Bain, Faubion, and Scott made three three-pointers apiece.
- CU made 12-of-17 free throws in the second half after going 2-for-8 in the first.
- Nine players scored and eight grabbed at least one rebound for the Jackets.
- Lewis leads the all-time series, 4-0.
