Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Northwood overcame a sluggish start to deal Cedarville a 77-56 setback in the Callan Athletic Center in non-conference action.

The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an 8-0 lead and held the visitors scoreless for the first five minutes. CU's last lead was 27-26 with 4:18 left in the half.

However, Northwood closed with a 15-2 spurt for a 41-29 margin at the break. The Jackets got no closer than 10 points early in the second period.

Kwenton Scott was the only player to score in double figures. He came off the bench with 12 points.

Colton Linkous hit three treys for nine points.

"We knew this would be a tough game because Northwood is a very good team. It is the same story for us. We started decent and could have had a bigger lead early, but we missed our first five shots and then had 11 turnovers in the half.

"I thought we defended OK until about the 13-minute mark of the second half. But, there may not be a defense in the country that can make up for our lack of offensive efficiency. At some point, we have to put the ball in the basket!

"We can't win at this level with 25 points coming from our starters. Unfortunately, I thought we took a step backwards today and we have maybe the toughest game, yet, coming up on Tuesday.

"We have to figure some things out on offense as well as play with more energy and toughness. The lack of that might have been my biggest frustration tonight."
