Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Brian Wolverton's first career goal was enough as Cedarville posted a 1-0 G-MAC men's soccer result at Trevecca.
Wolverton's tally came in the 40th minute and was assisted by
Conner Hughes.
It was the only shot the Yellow Jackets placed on goal in the first half.
Both teams finished the contest with 11 shots apiece. The host Trojans had the advantage in shots on goal, 6-3.
Paulo Pinto came up with six saves while notching his second shutout of the season.
Cedarville has won four straight to push its record to 9-6-2 overall and 7-3-1 G-MAC.
Quotable: Head Coach
Brett Faro
"I'm really proud of this group tonight. To have to play four games in the last seven days and come out 4-0 shows a lot of character. "We're finding ways to win games and I'm really encouraged by the continued desire to improve and get better.
"Tonight wasn't our best game and you could tell we were a bit tired. Trevecca did some good things to make it difficult for us and we really had to dig deep to get a result.
"We have a quick turn around before Ohio Valley on Tuesday. We will do our best to prepare well."
