Pat Estepp: "Wilberforce's record is deceptive. When you play as an independent, your schedule in many respects isn't going to be fair to you. Terry (Futrell) has done a really good job with those kids and they've played some good teams tough.
"This win for us that know what they're about, and especially knowing what they're capable of, is better than what some people might think just looking at their record.
"I'm really proud of how we moved the ball. We did a tremendous job making the extra pass and 27 assists is just unbelievable for us. Part of our shooting issues has been because we weren't passing the ball enough.
"I have to be honest ... I had no idea J.C. (Faubion) had 35 points until I looked at the stats. I was as much impressed that he had five assists with just one turnover. Also, Patrick (Bain) had nine assists with only two turnovers and that was a big plus with
Justice Montgomery still out of the lineup."
Junior guard
J.C. Faubion: "The key was the ball movement especially with the team's 27 assists. I was getting the ball in a lot of open areas where I could just catch and shoot, drive to the basket, or in transition, too.
"I really didn't realize I scored that many points. It seemed like a quiet 35. I didn't need any crazy runs, I just went with the flow of the game."
Senior
Jason Reep: "It's definitely bittersweet. I've enjoyed the experience and being with the guys. It's been a lot of fun and something I'll never get to experience again.
"I'm a fifth-year senior so the class I came in with graduated last year. I just tried to be a leader to the guys and work hard every day."
