UIndy stuns Yellow Jackets in OT

Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. - Indianapolis scored early in overtime to post a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against the Yellow Jackets in the first game of the season for each team.

The non-conference contest was hosted by G-MAC member Davis & Elkins.

Both Greyhound goals were headers off of corner kicks. They got the equalizer in the 58th minute and the winner in the 93rd.

Greg Williams' first career goal in the 17th minute gave Cedarville the early lead when he headed in a free kick off the foot of John Schwien.

Senior keeper Paulo Pinto was credited with two saves.

Quotable: Head Coach Brett Faro

"This was a great first test against one of the best teams in the region. Uindy is a very good team and at the end of the day they finished one more chance than we did.

"We created opportunities and had the run of play for several periods throughout the game, but we didn't come out with the result we wanted. Hats off to them for getting the job done.

"We will certainly learn and grow from it and look ahead quickly to a good Bellarmine team."

Five Facts:
  • Each side recorded five corner kicks.
  • Seven different Yellow Jackets recorded one shot apiece.
  • CU was 5-0-1 in its last six season openers.
  • Both teams qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division II Tournament.
