Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. - Davis & Elkins stunned Cedarville with a goal in the second minute and never trailed in posting a 3-1 G-MAC men's soccer victory.

The outcome ended a four-game unbeaten string for the Yellow Jackets, 3-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 G-MAC.

The host Senators needed just 82 seconds to get on the board and added another score in the 30th minute for a 2-0 lead.

Joel Twinem converted a penalty kick less than two minutes later to cut the difference in half. It was his first goal of the campaign.

Davis & Elkins iced the result with a tally in the 84th minute to improve to 2-1-2 and 2-0-1 G-MAC.

"Tonight was a tough one to swallow. We dug ourselves an early hole and simply couldn't quite find a pop in our step until the second half. We made it hard on ourselves.

"D&E did a really good job capitalizing on our lack of readiness at the beginning of the game and came out with good energy and toughness. To their credit they scored two quality goals and put us in a tough spot.

"We responded in the second half and did a lot of things extremely well. Unfortunately, it just wasn't quite enough tonight and that's how it goes sometimes.

"We need to keep getting better and improve on some of the intangibles. We can't count on other teams or refs to help us out. We need to take care of the details we can control as well as possible and keep improving on those things.

"Next week is important and we're going to continue to move forward."
