Box Score NEW CONCORD, Ohio - Cedarville took sixth-ranked Ohio Valley to the limit before settling for a 1-1 draw in a G-MAC regular season finale played at Muskingum University
The game was moved to the Muskies' North Athletic Turf Field due to weather and air quality issues where OVU is located in Vienna, W.Va.
The Yellow Jackets head to the post-season at 8-8-1 overall and 7-6-1 G-MAC.
The two sides were scoreless until the 67th minute when the Fighting Scots struck first.
CU finally leveled the match in the 86th when
Derek Braak tallied his 11th of the campaign unassisted.
Ohio Valley, who will be the top seed in the G-MAC Tournament, outshot the visitors 28-7 overall, but just 5-4 on goal.
Stinger Notes:
- The game was the 1,000th played in CU's 55-year men's soccer history.
- Graham Sachtleben played the first half and both overtimes in goal while Carter Selvius played the second half. Each keeper made two saves.
- Braak has scored six goals in his last five outings.
- OVU attempted more corner kicks by a 10-1 margin.
- It was Cedarville's first overtime game since the season opener at Bellarmine on Aug. 31.
- The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series, 7-2-2.
