Pat Estepp is pleased to announce two key additions to the 2018-19 Yellow Jacket basketball program. During the recent NCAA signing period Branden Maughmer and Isaiah Speelman submitted National Letters of Intent to attend Cedarville University.

Branden Maughmer
Branden Maughmer is a senior and three-year starter at Chillicothe High School in Chillicothe, Ohio. The 6-foot-2 point guard is a two-time South Central Ohio League (SCOL) First Team selection, earned all-district second team honors as a sophomore and all-district first team recognition last winter. Maughmer's head coach is former Yellow Jacket player Eric Huffer.
As a junior, Maughmer averaged 17 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game en route to garnering All-Ohio Division I honorable mention. He connected on 42 percent of his three-point field goal attempts.
Maughmer was the quarterback for the Cavaliers of Chillicothe High School. He totaled 1,015 passing yards and 1,689 rushing yards with 35 touchdowns during the 2017 season. Maughmer, a two-time conference Player of the Year, earned All-Ohio First Team honors in 2016 and District Player of the Year recognition this past season.
Branden is the son of Mike and Tara Maughmer of Chillicothe, Ohio.
Isaiah
Isaiah Speelman (second from left)
Speelman is a senior and four-year starter at Hilliard Bradley High School in Hilliard, Ohio. The 6-foot-6 forward begins his final prep season with 1,088 career points - ranking third-best in school history. Speelman helped lead Hilliard Bradley to a 21-1 record last winter and a district final appearance as the squad was ranked ninth in the Associated Press Division I Poll at the end of the 2016-17 campaign. Speelman's head coach at Hilliard Bradley is Brett Norris.
As a junior, Speelman averaged 17.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while registering 53 three-point field goals with a 41 percent shooting effort from behind the arc and was named the 270 Hoops Conference Player of the Year.
The two-time all-conference first team performer also holds the school record for most points in a single game with 38.
Speelman is on the 2017-18 Prep Hoops Watch List for Mr. Basketball and has been named to the 270 Hoops Preseason Central Ohio Division I First Team.
Isaiah is the son of Doug and Sharla Speelman of Hilliard, Ohio.
