Box Score FINDLAY, Ohio - Findlay scored early and never relinquished the lead in a 2-1 decision over visiting Cedarville in G-MAC men's soccer action.
The Yellow Jackets drop to 4-5 overall and 3-3 G-MAC with the outcome.
The Oilers needed just a little more than two minutes to get on the board with an unassisted goal.
UF made it a 2-0 difference on a header in the 32nd minute.
Mason Hecklinger cut the deficit in half with a tally in the 36th.
T.J. Milby was credited with the assist.
Cedarville attempted more shots overall, 19-14, with a 12-5 margin in the second period. Findlay had the advantage in shots on goal, 9-7.
Graham Sachtleben played all 90 minutes in goal with seven saves.
Stinger Notes:
- Hecklinger's goal was the first of his career.
- Findlay was whistled for five yellow cards compared to zero for CU.
- It was the first regular season meeting between the two sides since the 2002 campaign.
