CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The senior trio of
Abby Wolford,
Baylee Bennett, and
Regina Hochstetler combined for 65 points to lead Cedarville past Kentucky Wesleyan, 89-78, in G-MAC play.
The Lady Jackets, 7-1 overall and 4-0 G-MAC, completed a perfect six-game homestand inside the Callan Athletic Center with their seventh consecutive victory overall.
CU was clinging to a 71-68 lead midway through the fourth quarter when Hochstetler and Wolford hit back-to-back threes to key a 10-2 run to take command.
Wolford racked up 25 points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one blocked shot.
Bennett totaled 21 points and six boards while Hochstetler came through with 19 markers and four assists.
Freshman point guard
Emily Chapman came off the bench with 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
Stinger Notes:
- The 13 three-pointers made is a season-high.
- CU is 34-of-71 (.479) outside the arc in the last three games.
- Bennett, Hochstetler, and Wolford made four three-pointers apiece.
- The Jackets shot 50 percent or better from the field for the fifth straight contest.
- Cedarville holds a 9-5 advantage in the all-time season series.
- The rematch is Feb. 7 in Owensboro, Ky.
