CEDARVILLE, Ohio - All five starters scored in double figures and Cedarville pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Ohio Dominican, 81-69, in a G-MAC game played at the Callan Athletic Center.
The Lady Jackets, 15-3 overall and 11-1 G-MAC, maintain a half game lead over Kentucky Wesleyan for the top spot in the league.
Freshman
Alli Roh worked the paint for a career-high 18 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
Abby Wolford racked up 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Regina Hochstetler flipped in 14 points while
Baylee Bennett and
Ashlyn Huffman chipped in 12 points each.
Roh broke a 63-63 deadlock on a layup with 6:55 to play. That started the home team on a 12-2 run to take control en route to improving to 9-0 at home this season.
Stinger Notes:
- Bennett handed out five assists and Huffman tallied four.
- The Jackets shot 61.5 percent in the fourth quarter and made 13-of-15 free throws overall.
- There were a total of 16 lead changes and nine tie scores.
- As a team, the women are shooting .897 at the line (52-for-58) in the past four games.
- CU committed just seven turnovers and is averaging just 8.8 miscues in the last four outings.
- It's the only regular season meeting between the two schools.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series, 34-28, which began with the 1971-72 season.
